Via the Twittersphere, Jez Corden, Senior Editor for Windows Central, confirmed that Halo Wars 2 will surprisingly be coming to Steam. Halo Wars 2 came out on February 21st, and until now, everybody has assumed that it would most likely stay a Windows Store exclusive. Halo Wars 2 will be the fourth Halo Title to join Steam. No specific release date was discussed, but we know that it will definitely be coming sometime this year.
It's not common for Microsoft to stop keeping their games as Windows Store exclusives, and this confirmation hints at other popular titles potentially making the jump to Steam. If were lucky, we could see the likes of Gears Of War 4 and Forza 3 on the way. Fingers crossed.
