Halo Wars 2 Announcement Trailer Revealed

Oh my. I have to say I wasn't too sure that the next Halo Wars was going to be that great but after seeing the Announcement Trailer, color me psyched!

Microsoft and 343 Industries debuted this Halo Wars 2 CGI Trailer earlier today in their annual E3 Press Event. Without further a due, behold the Epicness!

It's said that the plot will continue to center on the crew of the UNSC Spirit of Fire led by Captain Cutter and will face a deadly new faction known as "The Banished" and their chief, a brute known as "Atriox" who is described as being a deadly warrior as well as a brilliant military leader who controls a massive army. That's particularly interesting to me because throughout most of the Halo universe, Brutes have been known to be the dumb race and would always war among themselves and would lack any coordination without the Covenant leadership guiding them along.

Beyond that my only thoughts are more-so hopes that they improve upon the Multiplayer aspect of the game. While the Halo Wars campaign was great and the cinematics were quite impressive, the restrictive multiplayer side of things really bogged the game down. So let's hope they decide to go straight free form base building vs the restrictive land locked style of the first Halo Wars. Hopefully the restriction was more-so technology of the past and this time around the Xbox One will let the game shine, not to mention the PC, which, speaking of...

Halo Wars 2 will be available on the Xbox One as well as Windows 10 PC on February 21, 2017.

Wait, did they say PC? Yes, they did!
