Halo Reach Leaked Online

Well, this is indeed some interesting news. You might have heard that Microsoft recently made Halo Reach available to game reviewers on Xbox Live. The new Halo title isn't due out until September 14, but Microsoft decided to offer reviewers the chance to download and play the game for the crazy low price of 99,999 points, or $1,250.

Since we're not made of money, we decided to pass on such a great offer, especially in the light of the fact that the game is coming out in less than 3 weeks. Not long after the special download only version of the game was launched within a hidden portion of the online marketplace, the gaming site/forum GameTuts managed to hack in and nab their copy. Horrayy, victory! Or not? Here's what they had to say...

"So after a lot of .xex cracking etc., [m]e and my team finally did it, we got Halo: Reach!" moderator Joakim said, according to PC World, adding that they had no plans to release it to the public.

Another GameTuts team member backed Joakim's comments and said the team had agreed not to leak or distribute the game to another site... "The words among the team came to agreement that Halo: Reach will not be leaked, given, or distributed to any site," moderator Toxic wrote.

Like we really believe this? Well, it turns out some other members weren't so keen on the idea of not sharing and well, decided to share it anyway! Microsoft says they're unsure as to what punishment they'll enforce upon those who have the stolen copies.
