The Halo Reach Beta is just around the corner (May 3rd) and Bungie has put out a few articles detailing various features and also a great look at some of the multiplayer maps that you'll be able to play. Below are a few excerpts from two Bungie articles;

The Beta will grant you access to a total of four multiplayer maps, half of which are what our multiplayer gurus consider "all purpose" play spaces. Powerhouse and Sword Base in particular are both great battlegrounds featuring game types you already know and love, but they're also set up real nice for more than a few you don’t even know you don't know about yet.

In the past, Beta time on Bungie.net meant players simply had access to game history, but for Reach we've gone significantly further than that. Not only will you find game history, but your Service Record, aggregate career stats, Commendations, File Share, file tagging, file rating, file searching, file comments, and even Reach Film Render to Video for Bungie Pro subscribers. Most of these features are extremely well polished, and not at all what you would expect a Beta to support.

Both Photos Above show the Multiplayer Map PowerHouse
The map formerly known as Settlement is set amidst one of Reach's more desolate regions. Look up and you'll catch a glorious glimpse of some majestically mountainous outcroppings. Across the way - jagged, primordial spires emblematic of this region's rugged terrain. Peer down and you’ll see the rerouted river spilling into the canyon below.
