The Halo series - with a new iteration having been announced at E3 - is finally seeing a show on Showtime.

Showtime?

Eh?

That's a premium network that rivals HBO, just to clarify.

So yeah, the network has ordered 10 episodes of the live-action show, which will be headed by Kyle Killen, who produced "Awake" and "Lone Star." Ruper Wyatt, of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", will act as executive producer and will direct multiple episodes.

Furthermore, the show will not only be associated with Microsoft and 343 Industries but also Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television, the television production division of Amblin Partners.

When will the production of the show, which began development in 2014 by the by, begin?

Apparently in early 2019. A premiere date has yet to be announced.

According to Showtime, the plot will revolve around "an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant."
