To the disappointment of many fans, it has been confirmed that Halo 6 will not be making an appearance at E3 this year. While people did know that the Halo franchise wouldn't be seeing its new installment this year, we were at least hoping to get a trailer or some information on the game. 343 Industries has confirmed via Reddit that they will have a small presentation, which will most likely be all about Halo Wars 2.
In the posting made by Brian Jarrard, the Community Manager at 343 Industries, he stated the presentation is "not related to the next major entry in the franchise." When people started asking if Halo 6 would be revealed at Gamescom, roughly two and a half months later, he replied, "definitely not." So when can we actually expect to get our first look at the new Halo game?
Well, it seems like we're going to have to wait a full year. We probably won't be getting a trailer, a release date, a multiplayer beta date, or anything of the like until E3 in 2018. For Halo 5: Guardians, the multiplayer beta was held 10 months before the game's actual release. This might mean that right after E3 next year, multiplayer beta servers will open up if they're preparing for a holiday release. Hopefully, we get a little peek at Halo 6 before this year ends, but I certainly wouldn't hold my breath.
