The comic features Scruggs telling Sarah Palmer about a conspiracy that's going on to hide the Didact, and he wonders where the Master Chief is, according to The Fuse Joplin. It follows up the teaser shared at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013, where Master Chief wanders by himself in an empty desert.
It seems UNSC blames the covenant remnant for the attack on Earth, and the Arbiter is not able to peacefully reach a conclusion the ONI, who continue to fund Elite rebellion groups. Kilo Five Trilogy is able to continue fighting because of ONI, which makes it difficult for there to be peace.
The comic strip ends by emphasizing that Master Chief is not present.
I must admit I am somewhat excited to hear that the Arbiter might be returning. After the Masterchief's fights with the Didact in Halo 4 he could definitely use the extra muscle to help take him down should they have any new encounters once again. I am curious though as to how ONI will play into this. Maybe they'll dive a little deeper like they did in Halo ODST?
On the official front... This would fall in line with the lack of detail and screen shots that have been released like the one below;
If the game were to actually debut later this year then we'd have probably seen a little more by now? With that said... Who's ready for some Halo 2 action? Maybe they'll do a better job this time providing a solid multiplayer experience for Halo 2 unlike the non-existent one in the first Anniversary Edition. Thoughts?
