CD Projekt Red, the creators of the extremely popular RPG, The Witcher 3 have reached out to all fellow gamers to watch their GWENT Open this Saturday, January 20. This is an exciting event because the prize pool is a whopping $25,000. The participants, who are the top eight players in the previous Pro Ladder season, will also be competing for GWENT Pro Masters Crown Points. The top two finalists will also be enjoying their spots in April's GWENT Challenger tournament.

The tournament starts with the quarterfinals, with the semifinals and finals taking place the following Sunday. Coverage will begin at 4pm CET on the official CD Projekt Red Twitch channel. Another perk of watching the tournament is Twitch drops, which players can earn just by viewing.

A little about GWENT if you aren't sure what any of this is - it is a fast-paced dueling card game that requires near perfect deck construction, strategic bluffing, and some quick decision making. The game is played in a best-of-three series, where players can set environmental hazards, cast spells, and try to trick their opponents into a trap.
