The trailer announcing the expansion (which you can watch for yourself below) gives you a visual taste of the environment you'll come across as you explore, such as large frozen lakes, ice-ridden caves, and the various Banuk camps. It proves to be a beautiful contrast to the warm tones of the main game.
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is due to release on November 7. If you have yet to purchase and play Horizon Zero Dawn, then you could instead wait until December for the special Complete Collection, which includes the following perks and benefits:
- The full game
- The Frozen Wilds DLC
- Horizon: Zero Dawn digital art book
- Exclusive PS4 theme
- Carja Storm Ranger outfit and Mighty Bow
- Banuk Trailblazer outfit and Culling Bow
- Banuk Traveller Pack
- Carja Trader Pack
- Nora Keeper Pack.
If the DLC is as expansive as it looks and the quality is on par with the main game, then this will no doubt be more critically acclaimed than your average DLC in today's industry. No price tag has been stated yet.
