GTX 1080 Releases Worldwide Today, Has Already Sold Out

The GTX 1080 has released worldwide today, to hungry customers everywhere. Keep in mind that the Founders Edition has launched, at a price of $699, but unfortunately and within just a few minutes, they all sold out.

First of all, check out this Reddit thread on the sales of the 1080. Unfortunately, you'll find that each site has a fat "sold out" sign on it.

So what does this mean? Well, there are two outcomes:

• First of all, it's important to note that there are a ton these cards popping up on Amazon and eBay at nearly double the price they were originally going for.
• This really sucks. Scalpers have been a huge issue when a product releases, and it doesn't change with the release of the 1080 Founder's Edition.

Secondly, this doesn't mean that the Scalpers have won... well actually, if people are that impatient, they have, but people are speculating that more are to come within the next week or two. I hope so, considering I've had my eye on one for a little while now. It was either that or pick up the 1070.

Anyway, the point of this article is that the 1080 has sold out, and if you want one badly, you should really try to resist the temptation of spending an extra $600 or $700. Hopefully in a couple of weeks we will see a plethora of models.
