Pika, Pikachu, where are you...?

Yea, Pikachu's a detective now. The Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara initially raised the curtain on Great Detective Pikachu on NHK's The Professional in October of 2013, which happened to be the same interview when he teased Pokken Tournament's development.

In this title, players team up with Pikachu to solve mysteries. Funny enough, this game has been completely under the radar until recently, and now that it has surfaced, it will be heading to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on February 3. Titled, Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Combination, the cinematic adventure title will be starring a "smug, talking, loveable, detective Pikachu" in the midst of Rhyme City as the players slip into the shoes of Pikachu's companion Tim Goodman.

So now that it will be available on the eShop in Japan soon, wonder when/if a release date will be hitting the West?
