Grand Theft Auto V Announced

After a ton of speculation, Grand Theft Auto V has officially been announced and is in production by Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software. Rockstar's web site has been replaced with an image of the title's new logo with the tagline below it reading 11.2.11 which we can only assume means that a trailer will be released at that time showing off the game a bit.

Rumors have been flying a bit and one of the biggest is that the location of the new game will be set in real-life Los Angeles. Other rumors include characters such as a Welsh monk, a weed evangelist, an actor, a publicist, and a spiritualist/hippy; Gilbert Gottfried and Robert De Niro may both lend voices to the cast; and the game may have themes of global recession, Ocuppy LA anyone? ha!

So who's ready to go beat up some hookers? lol
