Get ready to break your lamps, one of the most popular VR brawlers is about to leave early access. GORN 1.0 launches on July 18 for SteamVR and Oculus!

GORN is one of the most popular VR games around. It pits the player into wave after wave of gladiatorial combat, using a variety of medieval weapons to protect and defend themselves. It originally released two years ago as of tomorrow as an early access title. Since then, the enjoyable gameplay and entertaining creative style marked the game as many people's favorite.

The exciting action of combat would often result in the player accidentally attacking nearby real-world items, resulting in busted lamps and bruised knuckles.

There's no word as to what the update will contain, though given it's the official 1.0 release, it must have something worthwhile. Meanwhile, fans continue to pray for a PlayStation VR release. Though it doesn't sound like they're prepared for that just yet.

GORN is available now for PC VR for $19.99. The formal 1.0 release will drop on July 18. No word on if the price will change as a result.
