GOOGLE REVEALS NEW CONSOLE

Don't get too excited, this is blatant clickbait.

Remember the Ouya?  You could be forgiven for forgetting.  Well, for a long time, it had the distinct honor of being the first dedicated android-based console on the market—a level of exclusivity which did very little to help sales in the long run.   Unfortunately for the people responsible for Ouya, however, it was just popular enough for the big dogs to realize it’s a viable market.

So let me be the first--or second, or third, doesn’t matter—person to introduce you to the “micro-console” AndroidTV: an android based TV and games console designed by the folks at Razer and Google.    And you know, that’s pretty much all we got for you right now.  That it exists, and technically, if you really want to stretch some definitions, Google is entering the console race.

There’s no word on how much it’ll cost, what kind of games it’ll play (probably mobile titles like the Ouya) or even when it’ll come out.  Just that it exists.  Something to keep an eye on, I suppose.

...but then... that’s my job, isn’t it?  Drat.
