Goofy Says Kingdom Hearts 3 Will Be Out in 2015

It must be hard to be a Kingdom Hearts fan. I mean, for real—there may be half a dozen Kingdom Heart’s games out there, but the really important one; the one you’ve been waiting for, Kingdom Hearts III, the one that will conclude Sora’s story, is nowhere to be found. While we got a brief teaser for it earlier last year, showing a stampede of Heartless rushing down our hero, nothing else can be said about the game; Square refuses to announce a release date, or even give us a slightly meatier trailer to wet our teeth on.

Fortunately, one of your staunchest allies in-game is also one of your staunchest allies in real life: Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy, took to twitter recently to answer some questions about the game, and what he tells us would… there’s probably a reference to the game I could make here, but I’ve actually never played it before, so, let’s just say it’s encouraging.

Anyway. A fan asked him if the game was due to come out this year, and he replied with a “Yes, as far as I know”. He continued to elaborate that to the best of his knowledge, all voice recording had been finished… and then he specified that he was talking about Kingdom Hearts 3, rather than the upcoming Remake Kingdom Hearts 3D.

That’s good for fans, but it still leaves us with a glut of information we don’t know; probably the only thing we can know for sure is that Frozen is going to show up in some form or another, because Disney enjoys money and recognizes that having Eliza in the game would get them a lot of it. Anything else—including Star Wars or Marvel Characters showing up—can only be guessed at.

Still, if Goofy’s right, we’ll find out before the end of the year.
