Hide yo money, hide yo banks, because it's happening. The first summer sale for gaming, namely GOG's Summer Sale, is officially live, giving you many opportunities to pay for games that will never exit your backlog. The discounts do change every 24 hours. At the time of this writing, The Witcher 3 is 50 percent off, the X-COM franchise is 75 percent off, the Tropico series (excluding Tropico 5) is 80 percent off, and Day of the Tentacle remastered is 33 percent off. Interested yet? Well, maybe this next incentive will entice you: by collecting badges via having a GOG account, adding games to your wishlist, checking the sale every 24 hours, sharing a sale on Facebook, and more, you'll earn XP towards free games like Spelunky, Gabriel Knight, and the Dreamfall Chapters Season Pass.

Additionally, if you have GOG Galaxy, you'll be able to obtain System Shock 2 for free. Nothing's wrong with a free game!

The sale will end on June 22, 12:59 PM UTC, so you'll have plenty of chances to stock up on summer games. What do you plan on picking up? Or do you plan on just avoiding the internet and hiding in your safe place?

Because, y'know, that Steam Summer Sale is coming up too.
