Lots of respect for you, GOG.

So yesterday, we reported that GOG's version of No Man's Sky NEXT did not include the multiplayer component. While multiplayer will become available sometime later this year for this version of No Man's Sky, people were still upset by this happenstance.

Well, GOG is being the good guy by issuing an extended refund policy.

Here's the full announcement from the crew:

"We know that many of you expressed disappointment about the lack of the new multiplayer feature in the latest update to No Man's Sky on GOG.COM. While we have limited control over games and content updates, we want you to have the best and risk-free experience possible when you buy a game on GOG.COM.

Although Hello Games chose not to offer refunds over missing game content to our users and instead promised to bring the missing multiplayer content later this year, we understand that some of you might not be willing to wait. For this reason, entirely at GOG's own cost, were offering an extended refund policy for all owners of No Mans Sky. Even if your purchase is no longer covered by the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee, you can contact our customer support team and well issue a refund in wallet funds."

So, two things of note regarding this: Hello Games refused to offer refunds and instead promised to release the multiplayer aspect later, and GOG is eating the entire cost.

Honestly, GOG has gained a bit more of my respect. I think I'll have to buy some old-school games from them.

Anyway, the extended refund policy applies to all owners of No Man's Sky on GOG, but they must request the refund by Sunday, July 29, at 10:00 PM UTC.

Who knows? Maybe even after if the period ends, you'll still be able to receive a refund just by asking nicely.
