God of War Director Confirms No Season Pass

He also really enjoys the game.

With the next God of War growing ever closer, people are hungry for details. When the game's director, Cory Balrog, was asked on Twitter about season passes, he confirmed that there will not be any for the title.

"No season pass. As for the story questions - you will have to wait and play the game to see how it all shakes out. I just finished another play-through last night around midnight and it was still awesome! I'm totally biased, though."

This is an interesting revelation for such a game. God of War's massive following makes it an easy target for secondary monetization, while its story-based gameplay is a good fit for recurring DLC side stories. Frankly, it's perfect for a season pass. This makes us wonder how post-launch content will be handled.

Will post-launch content be free? Will there not be any post-launch content? Or is it simply that there will not be a "season pass" style bundling of any future DLC? Regardless of what they choose, this is more a good thing than anything.
