When God of War released last year on the PlayStation 4, it shook the gaming market immediately. The single-player action adventure had fans not only raving, but creating. Fan art, music, videos, and other creative projects flooded online forums as a symbol of affection for the game. Now the developers are sharing that love right back in a new video.
Titled, "Thank You," the 4-minute film reveals a variety of Santa Monica Studios employees intertwined with footage of the various different fan-made creations seen online. Each member talks about how they felt when the public first reacted to the game and all of the incredible creations they made in honor of it.
They reference Lego recreations, fan art, music videos, humorous skits, and more, expressing how grateful and happy these works made them.
The video concludes with everyone saying "thank you" in a variety of languages. All in all, it was very heartwarming.
God of War released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in early 2018. It would go on to win a number of Game of the Year awards for its satisfying gameplay, beautiful environments, and powerful, engaging narrative. God of War is available now for $40.
