Ubisoft is rolling out more free updates, but instead of an exciting game like The Division or For Honor or any of the games I personally play, it’s a free update for a game I do not play, which means it is statistically inferior. Shame on you, Ubisoft.
Anyway, the game in question is Ghost Recon Wildlands, who, on July 24, will be getting the Special Operation 2 update, which will include a host of new, sexy features, the biggest of which is called “Ghost Mode”, a super-tough mode that’s designed to be more realistic than your standard mode. In Ghost Mode, you can only use one primary weapon at a time and can only change loadouts at an ammo box or by looting a dead body. Reloading early in Ghost mode means any bullets left in the clip get lost forever, and there’s also friendly fire. Capping off the extra realism is the fact that the mode has permadeath, which means you’ll have to make a new character if you should die. So consider not.
It comes with other features. For example, it lets you turn off AI companions in the single-player and ghost mode, as well as adding new features to the PvP mode, such as new maps, challenges, and an “observer mode” so you can spectate game.
So that’s a thing.
It’ll come out on July 24 like I said, so, it’s just around the corner. I’m sure that’ll make some of you very happy.
Not me, though.
Not me.
