Y'know, to be perfectly honest, with how much I find myself writing about movies, I'm beginning to suspect this website is going to make the subtle but noticeable nonetheless shift towards being a website themed around nerdy movies. But, news is news, and this bit of news could net you a free 12-year old game, and who doesn't want that?

The Warcraft movie comes out May 25th, one short week away, and to help entice people into filling up the seats at their local cinema, World of Warcraft developer Blizzard has announced that buying tickets to the movie at select theaters will net you a free digital copy of World of Warcraft with 30 days of game time. Additionally, anyone who logs onto World of Warcraft between the 25th and June 1st will get free weapon skins based off the weapons you see in the movie.

The details on which theater to go to-and how the contest works in non-American countries (you HEATHENS) can be found here.

Is this a good deal? Honestly, it's pretty laughable: while that might have been a stellar deal 11 years ago, or heck, even eight years ago, by now there are so many expansions that even with the base game in your pocket, you'd still have to spend over 200 bucks to get caught up with everyone else, not including subscription info. But, if you're one of the maybe seven people who will go to the movie without having been exposed to the game first and are interested in trying more, then it might be worth your time.

Or, I guess, if you already have a subscription and this will get you 30 free days, that would be pretty cool. That's not what it does, but... still.
