While he was supposed to be there to talk about his work on Victor Vran: Overkill Edition, the conversation very quickly turned to his most iconic role, and the possibility of a Witcher 4. On that note, he had this to say:
"If you're leading into The Witcher 4, I can only say I have no idea, although I think it will be. This is my own opinion, and CD Projekt Red knows what they are doing, and I have no idea what the plan is, but... If I was CD Projekt Red, I would make The Witcher 4, but I would be focusing on Ciri. In The Witcher 3 she hints at visiting other worlds, and I think a game around her visiting those different worlds would be a cool Witcher 4."
I think most people would agree with Mr. Cockle when he says he’d like to see a Witcher 4 – and I think his claim that it should focus on Ciri is an excellent one, given how she definitely has room to grow and the possibility of a sci-fi Witcher game would be nothing short of fantastic (especially since it’s looking more and more like Cyberpunk 2077 will not be that at all).
Unfortunately, CD Projekt Red has made it more-or-less clear they’re focusing everything on Cyberpunk 2077, and it won’t be out for a good long while - so if a Witcher 4 is in the cards, it’s still very, very far away.
But it’ll still probably be out sooner than The Elder Scrolls VI.
