Here’s some corporate intrigue to add some spice to your week.

Machine Zero, the developer behind the wildly successful even if morally bankrupt mobile title Game of War, has gotten a former employee arrested for trying to steal "trade secrets."

Our would-be saboteur is 42 year-old Jing Zeng, a developer who, upon realizing he was soon to be let go/fired, decided to take a company laptop, empty its contents onto an external storage drive, and then wiped the laptop before returning it to Machine Zero. He was on his way to board a flight to China with all his digital booty before he was stopped and arrested. He’s currently out on a $100,000 bail.

If he’s charged with the crime, he could face up a $250,000 fine and could even serve jail time.

Interesting? Sure. I’m not sure what kind of secrets he downloaded, but it must have been pretty intense to warrant this kind of response. Looking at the Wiki, it might have just been a freakin’ encyclopedia, cause I’ve seen college-level physics textbooks that are less dense than this.

Whatever. It happened. That’s cool.
