Far Cry Primal was first announced back in early October, and as cool as it seemed we didnt actually get to see much of it, beyond creator interviews and cinematics. Still, setting the Far Cry games in prehistory, before guns or radio towers, was certainly a cool idea, and put the game firmly on my watch-list. So imagine my joy to discover the game popping up again at the Game Awards, with a new trailer that actually gives you an idea of how the game plays. And let me tell you, boys and girls my hype has been notched up to eleven.

So, basically, theres a heavier focus on melee, and you get to keep a stable of pets to take into battle, including wolves, saber-tooth tigers, and giant bears. So its like the Shangri-La sections if Far Cry 4, the best damn parts of the game, extended into one full title. Consider my body ready.

Oh, and for the interested, IGN has some exclusive extended gameplay clips.  Probably bad business to point it out, but still, I'm here primarily to inform.

You know, between Far Cry Primal and For Honor, Ubisoft is making themselves really hard to hate. Not impossible, mind just hard. Im up for the task.
