At this year's E3 press event, Microsoft announced the next game to come from critically acclaimed developers FromSoftware. The people behind Dark Souls and Bloodborne are heading to feudal Japan with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
While in an entirely new world, Sekiro maintains many of what makes a FromSoftware game unique. The player character is cursed with undeath, and they must fulfill their destiny in the form of fighting massively large and dangerous beasts. With literal bones for an arm and a grappling hook in hand, The player will navigate a dangerous world full of even more dangerous people, animals, and unnatural creations. You wield a variety of interesting weapons in the process.
You can see much of Bloodborne in the way they move and fight, for sure.
Nioh, developed by Team Ninja, attempted to recreate this style back in 2017, though its reception was a mild one.
With a release timeframe of "2019," you can watch the official trailer for the game below.
