Friday the 13th, the video game, has been garnering plenty of interest on Kickstarter, even going so far as to be successfully funded as of Friday the 13 (har har). As a result, fans can look forward to the promised release date of October 2016 on PlayStation, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

The game is licensed thankfully by the franchise owners and will be featuring Kane Hodder--the actor who played four of Friday the 13th films--as Jason Voorhees. No matter what, the game was going to be published, but the money that went into the Kickstarter was going to be used to craft additional features, such as a single-player campaign.

Weird that single-player campaigns are slowly becoming additional features, when it used to be the other way around.

As of Friday the 13, 2015, 12,218 backers pledged $823,704 in order to bring this game to life.
