PC gamers have been quite fortunate this past year with free content. The free game train is coming to town once again, and Steam and Humble Store are the ones providing.

At the time of this writing, the Humble Store is giving away free downloads of Company of Heroes 2. As a World War II strategy game born four years ago, it still packs a punch. After all, using the environment to take care of a group of enemies really never gets old in a strategy game. You can snag a key until 1 PM EST on Saturday to download on Steam.

Steam is also giving away a free game, Homefront, for a limited time. This game is even more relevant now with the current political environment. The plot is as follows in this first-person shooter: the US is under the hand of North Korea. This offer is good until 1 PM EST Friday. Feel free to head over to the Steam Store and download it now.

And then there is the added bonus for any Assassin's Creed fans - Black Flag. The critically acclaimed title is free to download through Ubisoft's Uplay service. Why the gift? Why, this is a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the first Assassin's Creed.
