Dead by Daylight made a huge splash when it presented itself as a viable competitive asymmetrical multiplayer game. While it was by no means the first of its kind, it satisfied gamers in a way that the previous games failed to. I'm looking at you, Evolve.

The premise of Dead by Daylight is that while a team of teenagers attempts to escape a foggy and trap-ridden plot of land, one super-powered being is slowly trying to hunt them down and sacrifice them to a powerful demon.

Earlier today the Dead by Daylight YouTube channel posted a small teaser, a 30-second clip displaying only one thing, a tall man in a striped sweater, with sharp claws on his hands, and rotting flesh. That's right, Freddy Krueger will be added as a playable "monster" for PC. This is part of the Nightmare on Elm Street Chapter of the game and is due to release on Steam October 26.

This is a wonderful taunt by Dead by Daylight, considering its primary competition for fans was the similarly released Friday the 13th game, a game of the same style and concept. Is it 2003? Because Freddy VS Jason is back! See the trailer for yourself below.
