Although Halo fans may be disappointed with the lack of Halo announcements at this year's E3, we know that 343 is hard at work on Halo 6, and since we won't be able to play a new Halo for the foreseeable future, they've prepared a nice little blast into the past for fans.

Halo 3, ODST, Halo 4, and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary are coming to Xbox One backwards compatibility later this year. Both the campaign and multiplayer will be available for all four games, and they'll even support cross-generation LAN play between the Xbox One and the Xbox 360.

We'll have to continue being patient for some Halo 6 footage, but for the time being, 343 is keeping us happy with the classics. No official date has been released yet, but we'll keep you updated on any further news.

Check out the full announcement here.
