Data mining is a common pastime in the video game community. Those with the tech and the savvy can find secrets in game files, update files, and in this case, pre-download files. Through an unintentional early download for the upcoming racing game, data miners were able to uncover a list of vehicles intended for use in Forza Horizon 4.
This shouldn't be taken as a bible for available cars. Last minute design changes or future updates and DLC means we still may see some of these vehicles removed or added to the list. Even so, 450 is a pretty hardcore number. Reddit user willbsn13 was kind enough to clean up the list, organize it by manufacturer, and post it online.
While the Forza Twitter has acknowledged the early download, they've not spoken about the vehicle roster.
"Today, some of you noticed Forza Horizon 4 game files preloading on your PCs. This was not intended and you don't have to do anything. The final game will download automatically when it is released. If you'd like, you can safely uninstall the downloaded files."
From the looks of things, Toyota got a short straw. Only three vehicles represent the brand, all of which are trucks. Though with licensing and other legal complications, this may have been the best they could manage.
