Season four of Fortnite Battle Royale was all fun and games, but all good things must end. Fear not, however. Season five is sooner than you think, according to developer Epic Games. Season five begins on July 12 at 4 a.m. ET.
This is only one day after the conclusion of Season four, and about a week away from now. Despite its close proximity, we still know very little about it. We can assume that the growing dimensional rifts play a part, at least.
Like before, the new season will begin with server maintenance. Once it's over, players can download patch 5.0 and begin playing. While it hasn't been explicitly confirmed, we can only assume there will be a battle pass available.
