Fortnite Season 6 Accidentally Launches with Jiggle Physics

It'll be gone soon though.

Fortnite, the biggest thing in video games since sliced bread, just hit Season 6. And while there aren’t as may huge changes this time around – just some gameplay tweaks, new items, cosmetics, and digital pets that ride on your back – they also added one unusual new feature: jiggle physics.

If you’re confused, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. See, this go around, Fortnite added a new Calamity cowgirl skin, which by itself is nothing to write home about. However, players quickly noticed that when she did the “Jubilation” emote, her breasts actually sorta… jiggled a bit.

Now, if this were a Team Ninja game or something, we’d be surprised at how tame it is. But coming from a child-friendly game like Fortnite, it came as a bit of a shock. Even more so since it was noted that it was only when this skin did this specific emote that the jiggle physics kicked in. If you did a different emote or wore a different skin, the breasts were back to being unmoving, unresponsive polygons. So it really came off as a bug rather than a feature, but people were enjoying it all the same, unsurprisingly.

But not everyone was a fan. Specifically, Epic Games.

“This is unintended, embarrassing, and it was careless for us to let this ship. We are working now to fix this as soon as possible.”

As for what might have caused this, well, it seems most likely that an animator decided to add the jiggle as a gag, and simply forgot to remove it. After all, the closing of Telltale certainly suggests that there’s a lot of unused gag animation out there and it doesn’t seem unfair that this would belong in that category.

Either way, though, the videos exist, so this will be a blemish on Fortnite for all eternity.
