Season Two of Fortnite: Battle Royale is coming to a close, which means Season Three is next. Epic Games has announced the theme for the next season: Space.
The next Battle Pass is all about interstellar cosmetics. Like before, the best stuff goes to the heavy players, but just owning the Battle Pass will yield you a few cool items. So far, the only item we know about is the Mission Specialist Outfit, which lets the player play in a space suit.
Season Three's start date is currently unannounced, but we can safely guess that it won't happen until at least February 21. That's when Season Two ends. Once Season Three has begun, players will be able to purchase the Battle Pass.
What is Battle Pass?
Battle Pass is a cosmetic-based microtransaction. Purchasing the pass for 950 V-Bucks (about $10) will unlock the ability to get unique cosmetics. You are initially given some items, though you can collect more by leveling up the pass. You can do that by playing the game.
Season Three's pass will have 100 tiers, with rewards for each tier. If players do not want to have to play the game to level up the pass, they can purchase a tier boost for 150 V-Bucks. This season's pass also adds weekly challenges, which encourages diverse gameplay to level up your pass faster.
You are still capable of collecting space-themed items in the game without buying the Battle Pass, but doing so will dramatically increase the number of rewards you'll acquire.
