Fornite is growing to be one of the big dogs of battle royale games, and with Season 3 on the horizon, they're looking to zest things up just a bit more. Get ready for Turbo Building.

Epic announced new game settings in a recent blog post that will enable players to build structures faster and more efficiently. Rapid construction should allow for a more fast-paced and reckless gameplay.

There will also be a new Auto Change Materials option. This will automatically switch to whatever materials you have on hand when you run out of your current selection.

My personal favorite new feature is the build-through option. Which Epic talked about in more detail.

Sometimes it's frustrating when your placement is blocked unexpectedly and you aren't sure why. Currently, smaller objects like furniture and shrubs are destroyed when you build over them, but trees, rocks and vehicles can still get in the way. We've changed the building system to allow you to place structures right through large objects, meaning you can now build pretty much anywhere at anytime!

Lastly, and least excitingly, Epic has also announced that they are enhancing the network code for the Battle Royale mode to better support building. Originally when you changed the selected piece to build, it would confirm and route that through the game's servers. Now it happens client side for smoother control.

Expect to see these new options available alongside Season 3, which currently has no release date. It's looking like it'll happen soon, though.
