Ubisoft announced today that For Honor will be free to play from May 3 to May 6 on all current-gen consoles and PC. Players who choose to download will have full access to the game including multiplayer modes, solo and co-op campaigns, and the original 12 heroes.
Much like they did for Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft is allowing players old and new to return to a game, which has had some major updates since its release more than a year ago. Since launch, there have been five seasons of content and also dedicated servers to increase player experiences. This weekend is a chance for players to experience the most polished version of the game and hopefully increase their player count in the process.
A new incentive, dubbed the Warrior Training Program, for new and seasoned veterans of the game will also be available. This program gives rewards to existing and new players for playing with each other during the weekend. The reward is valued at 8,000 Steel and will give a ton of XP boosts to players and their team as well as more loot. Who doesn't like loot?!
After the free weekend, those who wish to continue playing have the chance to get up to 75 percent off of the base game digitally until May 15 and still keep their progress.
