There has been a lot of tension lately between the For Honor community and Ubisoft, and there had been a boycott planned for April 3rd until today. During a Ubisoft live stream this morning, many of For Honor's developers addressed the issues that the community had been raising on the subreddit. During the live stream, game producer Stephane Cardin explained that server stability is their "number one priority" but he never really dug deep into the specifics of how they plan to move forward with fixing it, and when this would happen.

They also discussed how they will be releasing an update that intends to balance some of the game's less fair characters, such as the Peacekeeper which has been known to be incredibly overpowered when used properly. The update will bring a nerf for the Peacekeeper as well as fixes for many of the games bugs. They didn't specify when the patch would be released, but the did claim that they are currently testing it and hope to release it soon as long as there are no problems moving forward. Probably the best news of all is that Ubisoft will now be releasing a weekly developer update since the community has been complaining about their lack of communication more than anything.

All of this came shortly after Ubisoft released a patch which made in-game currency/steel about 45% easier to obtain per two-hour play session. Overall, Ubisoft has responded to the communities concern rather rapidly after the threat of a boycott was proposed by Reddit user Jbaayoun. Since the live stream, users on the For Honor subreddit along with Jbaayoun have decided to call off the boycott after being satisfied with Ubisoft's quick response and action so far. They continue to say that they think boycotting the game would be a bad mood at this point, but it might be necessary in the future if Ubisoft doesn't continue their recent enhanced communication.

"For the most part our requests and suggestions that have been posted in my thread and similar threads have been met,"

This is definitely a step in the right direction for Ubisoft, but if they wish to completely squash the beef between the community, they need to continue as they are. We'll see if this is just a short-lived endeavor or not.
