As we continue to move closer to the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, we learn more about their new battle royale mode, Blackout. This time, we get a first-time look at the map.

The image was posted on Twitter as a teaser for the Blackout beta, which releases on September 10 for PS4 users that pre-order the full game. Though the map doesn't tell us very much, there's still information we can glean from it.

The first eye-catcher is Nuketown Island, a clear reference to one of Call of Duty's most popular maps. We also notice the presence of a Manhatten-style island in the middle of a large river that splits the map in two. This likely means vehicles, such as boats, will be present in the game mode. Otherwise, the general map appears to take place in a rather rural environment, having stretches of nature separating the various places of interest therein. This is becoming a common decision amongst the genre.

There's no doubt that this is both a battle royale map and a Call of Duty map. We'll certainly learn more about it once the beta launches.
