Oh la la, it's nothing but hype, hype, and more hype for Romancing Saga 2, which has finally been confirmed after so many years for North American release. Funny enough, the opening theme for the trailer is actually quite similar to the original Romancing Saga theme.

The Saga series have been known to be highly complex, with tons of sidequests that are downright missable. Seriously, you can beat the game after only scraping what feels like five percent of the surface. Anyway, we are finally getting the game, reimagined in high resolution and localized for our convenience. The backgrounds look absolutely vivid and gorgeous, there is no doubt about that.

Oh, the goosebumps after watching this. Like the other games, there is a freeform scenario system that lead to a ton of different branches. There's also a system called Inheritance Magic, which sounds exactly as it is. Not only that, but you can learn abilities as you combat enemies, called Glimmers. Formations are also a thing, just like your typical 16-bit RPG.

But best of all, there will be all-new content that was not in the original version! What new content, you may ask? A new dungeon, titled "The Maze of Memory," new classes--Ninja and Diviner--a new game system called The Avalonian Gardens, an additional scenario called "Emerging Victorious," and a New Game+. Sounds exciting, no? Well hopefully this game will be out soon, because I want it... badly.

Knowing Square Enix, Romancing Saga 2 will be at a premium price tag of at least $10, but more than likely it will be between $15 and $20.

Romancing Saga 2 will be available soon for Android and iOS. Either way, check out the video below.
