Have you ever wanted to live in a Noir film? Back-alley politics. Rampant corruption. Money under the table. Red herrings coming out of your ears. Constant threat of sleeping with the fishes? Well, I guess I wouldn't want to live in Noir. I'd play it though. And that's just what we get with This is the Police. This game, from EuroVideo, is a plot-driven story that focuses on constant choices. And these choices mostly involve crooked dealings.

Wait, was that a torture scene?

Oh yeah, things get pretty ugly. Players will take control of Jack Boyd, police chief of Freeburg. During his career, Chief Boyd has to come face to face with crime, corruption, drugs, and everything else the city can throw at him. He's got 180 days left until retirement. His retirement fund is lacking substance, so what is a police chief in a noir setting going to do about it? That's up to the players to decide when it launches for PC on July 28. However, I think we all know the real answer.
