As I have scoured the net, I've come across an interesting game to play on a Saturday. We humans are constantly stressed, always trying to meet deadlines, trying to balance work and life and make ends meet.

Games are meant to be relaxing, to foster social interaction, and to help us escape. But most games, at one point or another, become frustrating. There are, of course some relaxation games, but one such example is rather... different, focusing on the aspect of tranquility.

Titled Viridi, this game serves to be your happy place when you're being crushed by stress. Centering on peace and quiet, Viridi features a pot that serves as a home for a variety of plants. The description of the game even encourages you to keep the pot at your side like a plush:

"Leave Viridi open in a second window to keep you company while you work, or check in on your plants as a meditative moment every night."

Though not entirely realistic, the game focuses on the real time growth of plants but is quite forgiving when it comes to maintenance. However, it is possible to over- or under-water your plant. Create a bond with your plants, name them, give them the best TLC, and watch them bloom into a beautiful flower.

The best part is that Viridi is free to try, preventing any stress levels to be raised. If you really love it, you can buy additional plants from the in-game nursery, but you can also receive a weekly free seedling too!

Soon, the tranquil title will be coming to Android and iOS, so you don't always have to rely on your computer screen. So take the next two days off and enter the world of plants to help you breathe a bit better. So far on Steam, it has received very positive reviews. And hey, it's free for the most part, so it's at least worth a try, isn't it?
