Square Enix has been continuously rolling out updates for Final Fantasy XV - for both PC and PlayStation 4 - ever since its PlayStation 4 launch back in late 2016. Just today, Square Enix revealed a new patch for Final Fantasy XV Windows Version, which allows you to change the appearance of Noctis.

Okay, a bit of a weird patch.

Anyway, this patch launched today and lets players changes Noctis' appearance based on their Comrades - the multiplayer addition to Final Fantasy XV - avatar. The patch notes, which have been posted on the Final Fantasy XV Reddit, also include:
  • You'll be able to change Noctis' appearance by speaking to Avatara, who is behind Takka's Pit Stop (dressed as Kenny Crow) and in various other locations. You can restore Noctis' appearance by heading to the Main Menu, then select Online, Avatara, and then finally Restore Original Look.
  • There is a new online menu, complete with the submenus: Notifications, Avatara, User Photo, and Play Records.
  • Official Treasure: You'll be able to find limited-time treasures. This requires online access. There is a lottery portion, where will be an announcement with the Winning Numbers. If the Sequence Number - which you'll receive when you find the official treasure - matches a Winning Number, then you'll earn a special prize. You'll receive a small reward for your participation, however.
  • User Photos: You can now share photos you've snapped with other players. This requires internet access.
  • User Treasure: You can set up a treasure hunt of your own! You can place up to one treasure box per day. This, too, requires internet access.
So all in all, a little bit of a fun patch. I'm game for it.
