Let's talk Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition. Just recently announced, it is due for release on March 6, 2018 alongside...

Wait for it...

The PC version of Final Fantasy XV.

That's right, there's a solidified release date for the PC version! Hooray! Oh, and it will be priced at $49.99 and include everything... and I mean everything, including whatever will be in Royal Edition.

So what exactly will be in Royal Edition?

According to the game's official site:

"An all-new dungeon - Insomnia City Ruins: Expanded Map

New features such as first-person mode, new gear, and new bosses.

Armiger Unleashed after you collect all 13 royal arms, a more action-oriented mode of the Armiger is unlocked

Royal Vessel the boat from FFXV is now a controllable vehicle. The same body of water (between Cape Caem and Altissia) can now be freely explored.

All season pass content Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades, and Episode Ignis.

Over a dozen pieces of DLC, including weapons, Regalia car skins, and item sets."

Oh, and if you own the base game, the extras will be available for purchase. However, pricing is to be announced (though it kind of is a bummer to pay extra for features that should have been in the game originally, but then again, this is a long-time practice of Square Enix, given that they've released many International editions and remixes).

The Windows Edition will receive native 4K (max 8K resolution), HDR10, Dolby Atmos and mod support.

Royal Edition will be included in the PC version and will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 6, 2018.
