It's official: Final Fantasy XV has gone gold, meaning that it is ready for shipping, and to celebrate this milestone, Square Enix released a fresh new cinematic trailer on YouTube, titled "Omen."

And oh my goodness is it absolutely gorgeous. After watching it three times, I have to say that it is a brilliant way to celebrate the event, featuring Noctis who becomes intertwined with can be determined as a nightmare. The trailer, brought to you by DIGIC Pictures (the same people who have worked on the amazing Kingslaive), shines a spotlight on the young man as he navigates a world that constantly shifts, tossing waves upon waves of enemies, which all serve to be an omen for King Regis. In other words, it's a future that very well must be avoided.

In addition to Final Fantasy XV going gold and the Omen trailer releasing, the development team is now focusing on the Season Pass DLC, which will contain three original episodes that take place during Final Fantasy XV, starring each of Noctis' comrades. These episodes explore new areas, monsters, and weapons that can be transferred to the main game. The first episode will be Episode Gladiolus, followed by Episode Ignis, and Episode Prompto. These episodes, which can be purchased individually, can be picked up as part of the Pass for $24.99. What will also be included in the Season Pass is Comrades, an expansion pack that introduces an online co-op mode for up to four players. While the details are unknown about whether or not this is some survival-type of mode, players will be able to take full control of Noctis' crew.

To coincide with the announcement of the additional content and character episodes is a statement from Producer of Business Division 2, Haruyoshi Sawatari:

"Last year I travelled around the world and attended many game events. I felt an amazing passion and sense of expectation towards Final Fantasy XV from series fans everywhere. From seeing that I really wanted to make it so that the fans could enjoy the game for longer and evolve and expand it even further. I will take these feelings and give them form, to deliver an amazing experience."

Final Fantasy XV will release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 29, 2016.
