Final Fantasy XV released nearly a year ago, but only now are we discovering the required specs for the upcoming PC version of the game. After becoming the fourth best-selling PlayStation 4 video game of all time at 2.5 million copies sold, Square Enix is looking to break into the PC market with this port.

The Windows Store page for Final Fantasy XV on PC details both the required and recommended PC specs to run the game. At the minimum, PC players will need an Intel Core i5 2400 or an AMD FX-6100 CPU and 8GB of RAM; The required minimum graphics card lists the GeForce GTX760.

The recommended specs are a fair jump above those. Listed as recommended is an Intel Core i7 3770 or an AMD FX-8350, 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060. These are by no means weak parts, but compared to the promised level of quality, those seem below the expectation. There is no confirmation as to what settings or framerate the recommended specs are optimal for.

Why doubt the strength of the parts? Because Square Enix promises 4K high-resolution textures, Dolby Atmos support, and a collection of NVIDIA GameWorks effects (TurfEffects for realistic grass, Hairworks for hair, Flow, HFTS shadows and VXAO) to top it all off on what is expected to be a graphical masterpiece on those machines who can handle it.

No official date of release for Final Fantasy XV on PC has been announced, all we know currently is early 2018. Here is the full and proper list of specs for the game.
