Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most well-loved RPGs of all time. It holds a special place in countless people's hearts. That's why it's so exciting to hear that the official modern remake is less than a year away.

Sony, who chose to opt out of this year's E3 press lineup, still have their own goodies to announce it seems. The recently released story trailer, A Symphonic Reunion, gives us a brand new look at the cutscenes that center around the game's main plot, while also announcing an official release date for the long-awaited title.

Final Fantasy 7 remake will release on PS4 on March 3, 2020.

It's interesting that they would release this announcement and trailer less than a day before the official Square Enix press release. We would have thought that they would save this for that event. They even say to tune in at that time for more information. But hey, more information for us.
