Who doesn't love giant fighting robots? Building your own Gundam models is fun, but it requires more time and money than I have either of. Good news for those in the States, however: Bandai Namco's Gundam Breaker series will be coming to the west sometime this year.
The next entry in the Gundam game series, New Gundam Breaker, lets players build their own custom Gundam mobile suits to take into battle. Though technically you aren't fighting giant robots, you're actually duking it out with tiny plastic model kits. You traverse seemingly large living environments fighting other models and collecting their parts as to expand on your own. Bandai Namco stated that the game will feature a new real-time weapon and armor swapping option.
Fighting computer controlled Gundam models is cool and all, but what if I wanted to beat up my friends and steal their parts? Assuming you're talking about the game, then I have good news for you. New Gundam Breaker will include a story mode as well as a 3-versus-3 co-op mode.
The Gundam Breaker series, developed by Crafts and Meister, has been around since 2013, but this most recent iteration will be the first game to come to the United States. Dedicated fans may have played Gundam Breaker 3, which never came to the US, but did have an English subtitle option in Asia.
