With the release date for Call Of Duty: WW2 quickly approaching, players have been concerned about whether or not female characters will be available in multiplayer. We know that we will be playing as a female soldier fighting in the French resistance for a specific period of the campaign, but people are more concerned about multiplayer than anything, and rightfully so.
The internet isn't always understanding, and even though some people have been arguing that female soldiers in WW2 are not realistic, Studio Boss Michael Condrey has confirmed that female characters will be included in the multiplayer. While this is not a surprise since recent Call Of Duty titles have offered this option, it's a relief to know that Sledgehammer will be following the same pattern.
When it comes to equality in video games, Sledgehammer Games has sacrificed immersion for the sake of equality, and the community is thrilled. Michael Condrey replied to a tweet regarding the demand for a female character in multiplayer, stating "Yes, for sure!" female characters will be included in Call Of Duty: WW2. Because after all, girls just wanna have fun right?
