Hardware can mean a lot for pro gamers. I am definitely not a pro gamer, as I am happy with just my small $20 Logitech Eye Candy mouse. However, there are really powerful gaming mice out there - some packing more power than I have imagined.

Well, QPAD has decided to crush the mouse competition by introducing the 8K Gaming Mouse, complete with tons of improvements. As the sequel to the 5K, the 8K includes a spiffy new engine inside of it.

It comes with the following improvements and features:
  • Award Winning Five-Finger Grip
  • Brand new sensor boasts a shutter speed of 12,000 FPS, covering an area of 30x30 pixels per frame
  • Generates an image of 10.8 MB data in processing power per second
  • 8200 true CPI
  • 32-bit ARM processor controller unit to optimize the tracking performance
  • Seven programmable buttons for profiles
  • Shortcuts, keys and macro recordings that can accurately be moved at speeds of up to 3.8 meters per second without losing tracking abilities
  • QPAD Glidz mouse feet are pre-mounted
  • Supports Plug & Play installation
  • Carries 128kb on-board memory
  • Left and right buttons guaranteed to last 20 million clicks
That's not all though. Finally, the mouse features 16.8 million color variations of RGB LED lights, offering full customization that will suit your mood. Seems like a good deal, especially for LAN parties.

The QPAD mouse will be available at the end of this month for a price of 79 euros, equating to $89.34 at current exchange rates. Definitely for those who want the competitive advantage...

...Or for those who just plain love shiny new toys.
