It's easy to make fun of bad Sonic games. But deep down, many folks still loved them regardless. One YouTuber by the name of ChaosX enjoyed the hot pile of garbage known as Sonic '06 so much, he recreated the game in Unity for PC.

First reported by Dark Side of Gaming, ChaosX has rebuilt the infamous Sonic title from 2006 in the Unity Engine, calling the project "Sonic the Hedgehog (P-06)." This recreation keeps extremely faithful to the original, but with a new platform and some higher quality graphics. You can tell by the demo video they released, showing off gameplay from various moments of the game.

They even kept the awkward way the camera shakes around whenever you try and move.

You can play the demo for yourself, even! The entire game is available via a Mediafire link. ChaosX also has a Google web form that you can fill out if you encounter any bugs or glitches.

Our hats go off you ChaosX and those who helped him produce this game. It's an impressive feat on a far-less deserving game.
