Not all games can be heart-pounding action thrillers. Sometimes there needs to be something calm, slow, and wholefully uninteresting. Otherwise, how will relatives choose something disappointing for your birthday? A perfect example of this is in the Simpsons, when Bart is gifted a copy of Lee Carvellos Putting Challenge instead of the much desired Bonestorm.
While both of those games were fictional, built for the sake of the gag, someone has taken a swing at making Lee Carvellos Putting Challenge into an actual game that you can play in your web browser.
This is the work of Aaron Demeter, a hobby developer online. Done through Unity and exported as a WebGL game, theyve recreated Lee Carvellos Putting Challenge. While rather short, it gives the player the same choices that Bart had when he played. The game is free to play and available on Demeters Itch.io page.

We appreciate Demeters initiative to recreate what was supposed to be a gag concept into the real world. Especially considering the episode it came from was released in 1995. We can only hope that the Video Game Archive takes their creation into consideration.
Fun Fact: Lee Carvellos Putting Challenge may have been a reference to Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf, a infamously unpopular NES golf game that contained no actual fighting.
